Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s South Waziristan district conducted an intelligence-driven operation resulting in the demise of two terrorists, according to the military’s media wing.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed that the confrontation between security personnel and militants culminated in the elimination of the two terrorists following a fierce exchange of fire. Additionally, a substantial cache of weapons and explosives was seized from the location. The ISPR emphasized that the deceased terrorists had been actively engaged in various terrorist activities within the region.
A subsequent sanitization operation is underway to eradicate any remaining terrorist elements in the vicinity, the statement revealed. The ISPR reiterated the unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the nation.
The ISPR’s announcement follows recent successful operations in KP and Balochistan. Last week, security forces eliminated ten terrorists in KP through two separate operations, while another two terrorists were neutralized in an operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.
