Three Terrorists
In a decisive intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district, Pakistani security forces engaged in an exchange of fire that resulted in the elimination of three terrorists, with four others sustaining injuries, as announced by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing.
The ISPR’s brief statement, released on Saturday, outlined that the IBO was conducted based on intelligence indicating the presence of terrorists. The operation yielded not only the successful neutralization of the identified threats but also the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the deceased militants.
These terrorists were actively involved in various acts of terrorism against law enforcement agencies and civilians. As part of the post-operation measures, a sanitization operation is underway in the area to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorists.
Local residents have lauded the security forces’ operation, expressing their full support in the collective effort to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
The surge in terrorist attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past few months, particularly impacting the pre-election phase in certain provincial areas, prompted heightened responses from security forces.
The ongoing efforts have resulted in successful operations to restore peace, particularly in regions bordering Afghanistan.
This recent operation in Karak follows another successful IBO in KP’s North Waziristan district last week, where security forces neutralized six terrorists.
The string of proactive measures signifies the commitment of Pakistani security forces to combating terrorism and maintaining stability in the affected regions.
Overall, Pakistani security forces neutralize three terrorists, injure four in Intelligence-Based Operation in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
