Pakistan’s security forces successfully neutralised 12 terrorists linked to Fitna al Hindustan, an Indian-sponsored proxy group, during an intelligence-based operation in Kalat, Balochistan on December 6, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday.
Intense Clash Ends Major Terror Threat
According to ISPR, the operation was launched after intelligence agencies confirmed the presence of the group’s hideout in the area. Troops swiftly moved in, triggering a fierce exchange of fire. During the confrontation, 12 militants were killed, all of whom were involved in multiple terror activities across the region.
Security personnel also recovered a significant cache of weapons, explosives, and ammunition, preventing the group from launching further attacks.
Sanitisation and Ongoing Counterterrorism Drive
Following the successful operation, security forces conducted a detailed sanitisation sweep to ensure no remaining members of the network were hiding nearby. The military emphasised that Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts under Azm-e-Istehkam—a campaign approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan—will continue with full force.
ISPR reiterated the state’s resolve to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism and restore long-term peace in the country.
