Indian Firing
ISLAMABAD: Military sources reported that Indian forces fired on Pakistani posts near Sialkot along the Working Boundary. While Inter-Services Public Relations, the military’s media wing, and local law enforcement provided no official statements, reports on social media, shared by locals, indicated heavy artillery fire heard along the India-Pakistan border in the Zafarwal sector.
The sources stated that the firing commenced after a drone attempted to intrude into Pakistani territory but was subsequently shot down by Pakistani forces.

In an attempt to mask the failed incursion, Indian forces initiated indiscriminate firing on Pakistani posts along the Working Boundary. It was reported that Pakistani forces responded strongly to Indian aggression.
During the night, various Pakistani users on X (formerly Twitter) posted videos containing the sounds of heavy gunfire and artillery fire, but independent verification was unavailable.
The situation at the India-Pakistan border remains tense, with both sides reporting incidents of cross-border firing. Continuous monitoring and diplomatic efforts are essential to de-escalate tensions and maintain peace in the region.
Government Announces Winter Gas Load-Shedding Schedule
Meanwhile,
Caretaker Federal Minister for Energy Muhammad Ali has announced that gas consumers in Pakistan will face 16 hours of daily gas load-shedding during the upcoming winter season due to dwindling gas reserves. The government will provide domestic consumers with only eight hours of gas per day.
Because of depleting gas reservoirs, uninterrupted gas supply is not feasible in winter. Ali also mentioned that domestic consumers may need to switch from natural gas to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to meet their gas requirements.
