The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has approved the public offering of New Nazimabad Apartments REIT.
The approval marks the 13th public offering on the Pakistan Stock Exchange during 2026.
More than 44 million units will be offered to investors under the public offering. The move will provide investors with another opportunity to participate in Pakistanโs real estate market.
SECP Highlights Growing Capital Market Activity
SECP Chairman Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu welcomed the rise in public offerings. He said the trend reflects growing interest in capital market fundraising.
According to Sidhu, businesses increasingly rely on capital markets for long-term financing. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining a stable capital market.
Furthermore, he said stable markets can support businesses seeking sustainable funding. This can also strengthen investment activity across Pakistanโs financial sector.
Regulator Plans Further Capital Market Reforms
Sidhu said the SECP continues working to improve the capital-raising process. The regulator plans measures to reduce both time and costs for businesses.
Meanwhile, the New Nazimabad Apartments REIT offering adds another major opportunity for investors. The latest approval also highlights continued activity in Pakistanโs capital market.
The development comes as companies and investment projects increasingly explore public offerings. Consequently, the SECP expects further improvements to encourage capital market participation.
