WhatsApp Unveils New Color Customization Feature for Chats

WhatsApp

Meta-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp is set to introduce a new innovation to its iOS app: the fresh chat theme feature.

This upcoming enhancement will be available in a future update, aiming to provide users with a more personalized messaging experience by allowing them to customize the chat bubble colors.

According to WABetaInfo, a reliable source for WhatsApp news, the company has recently submitted a new update through the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 24.11.10.70. This update includes the development of the chat theme feature, which focuses on chat bubble color customization.

WABetaInfo elaborated, stating, “Through this enhancement, WhatsApp aims to provide users with an even more personalized messaging experience, allowing them to select their preferred color for chat bubbles.”

This feature is still under development, with WhatsApp reportedly refining it further by adding a new default chat theme option.

In the future update, a section will be introduced where users can choose the default chat theme of the app. Similar to the previously reported feature allowing users to select the main branding color of the app, users will be able to select a new color and wallpaper for the default chat theme from a range of five different colors.

Once a color is selected, it will automatically become the default chat theme, adjusting both the wallpaper and bubble color accordingly.

The introduction of diverse color options aims to provide users with greater aesthetic freedom for their chats. It is important to note that the changes made by users with this upcoming feature will only affect their own chats and will not alter the appearance of the receiver’s chats.

The new customization options are part of WhatsApp’s continuous efforts to enhance user experience and personalization. By allowing users to choose and change the color of chat bubbles, WhatsApp is catering to the growing demand for more customizable and user-friendly interfaces.

This move follows WhatsApp’s previous updates that included various customization features, and it marks another step towards making the app more versatile and tailored to individual preferences.

Users will soon be able to enjoy a more vibrant and personalized chat environment, making their messaging experience more enjoyable and visually appealing.

In summary, the forthcoming update to WhatsApp’s iOS app will bring a new chat theme feature that allows users to customize the color of their chat bubbles and wallpapers.

This feature is currently under development and being refined, with the goal of providing a more personalized and aesthetically pleasing messaging experience. The changes will only affect the user’s own chat view, maintaining the standard appearance for recipients.
