Facebook has launched its new Content Monetization beta, a unified program designed to help creators earn money on the platform. This initiative combines several existing monetization options—such as In-stream ads, Ads on Reels, and Performance Bonus—into a single, streamlined offering.
With the new program, creators can monetize a diverse range of content formats, including Reels, long-form videos, photos, and text posts. Earnings will continue to be calculated based on engagement, views, and plays.
Facebook has already begun inviting one million creators currently monetizing on the platform, with plans to send out more invitations in the coming months.
Notifications will be sent through official Facebook or Meta channels, such as the Facebook app, Meta Business Suite, and the Professional dashboard. Creators interested in participating can join a waitlist.
To improve transparency, Facebook has introduced a new Insights tab in the Professional dashboard and Meta Business Suite, enabling creators to track their earnings across multiple content formats in one easy-to-access location.
Once the beta period ends, Facebook will phase out the existing Ads on Reels, In-Stream Ads, and Performance Bonus programs.
Meanwhile, Instagram offers a separate monetization program for creators, featuring options like subscriptions, gifts from fans, and brand partnerships.
