Elon Musk Reacts to Man Who Crafted Wooden Cybertruck for $15,000

Elon Musk

Elon Musk recently responded to a car enthusiast who constructed a fully functional Cybertruck out of wood, offering a brief but appreciative three-word reply. Meanwhile, social media users have been praising this unique creation as ‘superb.’

The Cybertruck, which Tesla began delivering to eager customers last November, has consistently captured headlines for various reasons.

From incidents where the vehicle caught fire after hitting a fire hydrant to significant recalls due to major defects, and even one modified into a monster truck, the Cybertruck saga has been anything but dull.

Earlier this year, a YouTube channel called ND-WoodArt made waves when it documented the ambitious project of building a wooden Cybertruck.

Known for its impressive woodwork on sports cars, motorbikes, and even a wooden tank, ND-WoodArt was behind this intricate endeavor.

The DIY Cybertruck was a labor of love that cost the content creator approximately $15,000 to build, taking an impressive 100 days of meticulous craftsmanship.

Upon unveiling this masterpiece in a detailed 20-minute video, ND-WoodArt took to social media to send an open letter to Musk on platform X.

In the heartfelt message, the YouTuber expressed their passion for wooden vehicles and their admiration for both Musk and Tesla. “I am a passionate content creator with a deep love for wooden vehicles and tremendous admiration for both you and Tesla,” they wrote.

The creator highlighted their previous projects and noted their excitement in constructing the Cybertruck, which they mentioned many of their followers had requested.

Acknowledging the challenges Tesla has faced in bringing the Cybertruck to market, the content creator expressed their unwavering faith in Musk’s vision and Tesla’s capabilities. “I am confident that this extraordinary vehicle will ultimately succeed,” they added.

In response to the heartfelt request for a repost, Musk replied simply, “Sure, much appreciated.” His brief acknowledgment was well-received, but it was the audience that truly celebrated the wooden Cybertruck’s craftsmanship.

One social media user described the result as “bad-ass,” calling it one of the best-looking Cybertrucks they’d ever seen and suggested it should be showcased at Tesla’s headquarters.

Another user noted the impressive precision required for such a project, commenting, “I can’t start to think about the insane amount of measurements that went into this project… This is sooo cool to watch and nothing short of superb.”

A third user added a humorous twist, saying, “If you sold this thing as an entire puzzle, I would buy it. You guys make it look easy to build.”

In a nod to the engineering feat, another comment from a mechanical engineer praised the creator’s ability to fit the pieces together seamlessly, stating, “I respect the insane amount of work he put into functional dimensioning to make that look easy.”

The wooden Cybertruck has clearly not only captured the attention of Elon Musk but has also resonated with a wide audience, celebrating creativity and craftsmanship in the automotive world.
