Saudi-Pakistan Business Council Chairman Prince Mansour met Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan to discuss investment opportunities in Pakistanโs transport infrastructure sector, according to a Private Channel.
Focus on motorway development projects
During the meeting, the minister highlighted ongoing motorway and highway developments across the country. He invited Saudi investors to participate in key projects, calling them viable and profitable opportunities.
Moreover, he identified major routes including the M-6 SukkurโHyderabad motorway, M-10 Karachi Port link, and M-13 KharianโRawalpindi motorway as priority investment options. He said these projects hold strategic value for regional connectivity and trade growth.
The minister added that construction work on highways and motorways is progressing rapidly. He said the government remains committed to improving transport infrastructure nationwide.
Saudi interest and bilateral cooperation
Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud expressed interest in exploring investment in the proposed motorway projects. He said the Saudi-Pakistan Business Council can help build stronger partnerships in infrastructure and communications sectors.
Furthermore, he assured cooperation from the council platform and expressed optimism about expanding economic ties during his visit to Pakistan.
Strengthening economic ties
Abdul Aleem Khan said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share long-standing fraternal relations. He emphasized cultural and religious bonds between the two nations.
He also assured full facilitation for Saudi investors to ensure smooth cooperation. Both sides agreed that stronger collaboration in infrastructure projects will boost regional trade and strengthen bilateral relations.
