Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced a one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa for international pilgrims. The new visa allows visitors to enter the Kingdom several times within 365 days.
Under the new policy, pilgrims may stay in Saudi Arabia for a cumulative period of up to 90 days. However, all entries remain subject to applicable regulatory requirements.
New Visa Supports Vision 2030 Goals
The ministry said the initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program. Consequently, the new visa aims to simplify travel procedures and improve services for pilgrims.
Officials said the policy will make repeated Umrah visits more convenient for eligible travellers. Additionally, it seeks to enhance the overall pilgrimage experience through streamlined entry procedures.
The visa remains valid for one year from the date of issuance. Therefore, beneficiaries can perform multiple Umrah journeys during the validity period.
Nusuk Permit Required Before Every Visit
Pilgrims must purchase a service package through an approved provider on the Nusuk platform before each visit. Furthermore, the package duration cannot exceed the visa’s remaining validity.
Visitors must also obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk application before travelling to Saudi Arabia. These requirements apply to every entry under the new visa system.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said the measures will improve service efficiency while ensuring better management of pilgrim arrivals. Meanwhile, the initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to modernise religious tourism.
Officials expect the new visa to provide greater flexibility for Muslims wishing to perform Umrah more than once during the year.
