Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has warned citizens and foreign residents against filming, photographing or sharing footage of missiles and drones being intercepted in the country.
The ministry said recording military or defence operations and circulating related images or videos on digital platforms could pose a threat to national security. Authorities stressed that sensitive security information must not be publicly distributed.
The warning also covers images and information concerning locations where intercepted missiles, drones or their debris have fallen. Officials said individuals who record, publish or circulate such material could face legal action.
The restriction applies to both Saudi citizens and foreign residents living in the Kingdom. The Interior Ministry emphasized that national security matters would be treated with strict seriousness and that violations would not be tolerated.
Authorities have urged the public to follow official instructions and avoid sharing sensitive footage or information related to aerial defence operations.
The move comes amid heightened security concerns surrounding missile and drone threats in the region. Saudi authorities have previously warned the public against circulating information about interceptions and impact sites, stressing the importance of protecting sensitive security details.
