Actress Explains Her Decision to Join the Drama
Pakistani actress Sanam Saeed has opened up about why she decided to join the star-studded drama serial Mein Manto Nahi Hoon after staying selective with television projects for several years.
During a recent appearance on PTV, Sanam spoke about her role, her return to television and the factors that convinced her to accept the project.
The actress said the idea of playing a teacher appealed to her because it was something she had not explored before on screen.
She also said the opportunity to work with Humayun Saeed and Sajal Aly influenced her decision. Sanam added that she had never worked with Sajal before, making the project a suitable chance to share the screen with her.
Her comments gave fans a clearer look at how carefully she chooses her television roles.
Manageable Schedule and Strong Cast Influenced Her
Sanam said she was not ready to immediately return to a demanding lead role after several years away from regular television.
She explained that daily drama shoots can be exhausting because of long schedules and heavy workloads.
According to her, the project offered a more manageable commitment of around 30 days. That made the decision easier.
She also said the presence of director Nadeem Baig played an important role.
Sanam revealed that she had previously turned down Nadeem Baigโs offers twice because the timing did not work out. When he approached her again, she felt she no longer had a strong reason to refuse.
She said she wanted to try something different this time. That is why she gave her character a distinct look with curly hair.
Sanam Talks About Social Media Pressure
During the interview, Sanam also shared her thoughts on the growing importance of social media for actors.
She said visibility has become important in the entertainment industry. According to her, if an actor disappears from public view, people may forget about them.
Sanam said social media is full of constant information and competition. That makes it harder for artists to remain in public memory without regular online presence.
Her remarks resonated with fans, who appreciated her honesty about acting, workload, selective choices and industry pressure.
The actressโs comments also highlighted the changing nature of television work. Today, actors are not only judged by their performances but also by their visibility and digital presence.
Sanamโs decision to accept the drama appears to be based on a balance of role, cast, director, time commitment and creative curiosity.
