Samsung’s upcoming Exynos processor has reportedly delivered impressive performance results, raising expectations for the company’s next generation of flagship smartphones. The latest benchmark results suggest that Samsung could narrow the performance gap with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors.
The new chipset has attracted attention because Samsung continues to develop its in-house processors for premium mobile devices. However, benchmark scores alone cannot determine how well a chip will perform during everyday use.
Exynos Chip Shows Promising Benchmark Results
Samsung has been working to improve the performance and efficiency of its Exynos processor lineup. These improvements aim to deliver faster processing, smoother graphics and better power management across compatible smartphones.
Moreover, benchmark tests help compare processors by measuring their performance in different workloads. Results can offer an early indication of a chip’s capabilities, although actual performance may vary depending on software optimisation, cooling systems and device design.
The Exynos 2700 reportedly scored around 13,000 points in Geekbench 6.5 multi-core testing, compared with approximately 11,000 points for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. This result represents a lead of nearly 20% in the reported internal tests.
Samsung’s upcoming processor may also deliver improvements in graphics performance. Reports indicate that the chip achieved stronger results in selected graphics tests, although the advantage varied depending on the workload.
Samsung reportedly plans to manufacture the Exynos 2700 using its second-generation 2-nanometre production process. Additionally, an upgraded heat-management design could help improve thermal performance and maintain processing speeds during demanding tasks.
The company may introduce the processor in its Galaxy S27 lineup, expected to arrive in early 2027. Nevertheless, Samsung has not confirmed the final chipset configuration for every model.
These results come from reported internal testing rather than independent laboratory assessments. Therefore, battery life, temperature control and sustained performance will remain important factors when evaluating the processor in commercial devices.
