Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 9 update based on Android 17 to its flagship Galaxy S26 series following several months of beta testing.
The update covers the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra, with Samsung gradually expanding availability across different markets.
South Korea appears to be the first market receiving the stable software. Users there are reportedly getting the update as an over-the-air download measuring approximately 650MB.
The rollout marks the transition from beta testing to the public release of Samsung’s latest software platform for its current flagship smartphones.
My FanCam and AI Features Lead One UI 9 Changes
Samsung has highlighted My FanCam as one of the major features arriving with One UI 9.
Moreover, the company has expanded Now Brief, allowing Galaxy users to create and edit personalised cards with generative artificial intelligence.
Samsung has also upgraded Now Nudge, saying the feature can help users complete supported tasks with fewer steps.
Consequently, One UI 9 places greater emphasis on AI-assisted personalisation and streamlined interactions across compatible Galaxy devices.
Samsung Updates Creative and Productivity Tools
Additionally, One UI 9 introduces improvements to Creative Studio, Interpreter, Document Scan and Voice Recorder, expanding Samsung’s productivity and content-creation tools.
The update also adds a new Warranty and Care settings menu, which Samsung previously detailed in August.
Meanwhile, Galaxy S26 owners outside South Korea may receive the update as Samsung expands the rollout across additional markets.
Availability and timing can vary depending on region, carrier and individual device configuration.
With the stable rollout now underway, the Galaxy S26 lineup becomes Samsung’s first flagship series to receive the finished One UI 9 experience based on Android 17.
