Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Book 6 lineup with a more affordable laptop for buyers seeking everyday performance.
The new Galaxy Book 6 uses Intel Core 3 and Core 5 processors instead of higher-end Core Ultra chips.
However, Samsung has retained several key features from the series. These include a 14-inch display, Galaxy AI tools, and a large battery.
Galaxy Book 6 Brings a Familiar Design
The Samsung Galaxy Book 6 features a 14-inch LCD display with a 1920×1200 WUXGA resolution.
The screen uses a 16:10 aspect ratio and reaches a peak brightness of 350 nits. Additionally, it comes with an anti-reflective finish.
The laptop measures 313 x 221 x 15.7mm and weighs 1.35kg. Therefore, it maintains a relatively compact design for everyday use.
Samsung offers two processor options with the new model. Buyers can choose between Intel Core 3 and Core 5 chips.
Both configurations use Intel Graphics. Meanwhile, an integrated Intel NPU delivers up to 15 TOPS of AI performance.
This allows the laptop to handle supported artificial intelligence workloads locally. As a result, users can access compatible AI functions without relying entirely on cloud processing.
Memory and Storage Options
The Galaxy Book 6 comes with either 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options range from 256GB to 1TB.
Samsung has also equipped the laptop with a 2-megapixel webcam. The camera can record video at up to 1080p resolution.
For audio, the laptop features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. This setup aims to provide a more immersive sound experience for users.
Battery Life Reaches Up to 25 Hours
Battery life is one of the Galaxy Book 6’s key features. Samsung rates its 61.2Wh battery for up to 25 hours of usage.
The laptop also comes with a 45W USB Type-C charger. Samsung says the charger can replenish around 33% of the battery within 30 minutes.
Furthermore, the Galaxy Book 6 offers several connectivity options for everyday users.
These include two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port. The laptop also features HDMI 1.4, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.
A 3.5mm headphone jack is also included. Therefore, users can connect both modern and traditional accessories without additional adapters.
Galaxy AI Features Included
Samsung has brought several Galaxy AI features to the more affordable Galaxy Book 6.
The laptop supports AI Select, AI Cut Out and Note Assist. These tools add artificial intelligence functions to the overall user experience.
Depending on the configuration, the Galaxy Book 6 runs either Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro 25H2.
The software options therefore vary according to the selected model. However, the core Galaxy AI features remain part of the laptop’s offering.
Galaxy Book 6 Price and Availability
Samsung has priced the Galaxy Book 6 from $799. The laptop comes in Violet Silver and Gray colour options.
However, Samsung notes that specifications and configurations can vary between markets. Available colours and features may also differ depending on the region.
The Galaxy Book 6 therefore targets buyers who want Samsung’s newer laptop features without moving into the higher-priced processor configurations.
