Showbiz star Sabrina Carpenter won her first Emmy Award for her work on The Muppet Show. With this award, she added another major honor to her growing career achievements.
The 27-year-old singer and actress received the award on September 5 during the opening night of the 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
Carpenter won as an executive producer of The Muppet Show. The Disney+ variety special received the Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) award.
Moreover, the program secured three additional awards during the ceremony. These included Outstanding Writing, Outstanding Picture Editing and Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special.
Carpenter also appeared in the half-hour special, which premiered on Disney+ earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Matt Vogel received a nomination for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for voicing Kermit the Frog.
However, Julie Andrews won the category for her voice performance as Lady Whistledown in Bridgerton.
Step Closer to EGOT
Following the ceremony, Carpenter celebrated the achievement through her Instagram Story. She praised the entire Muppets crew for their effort and creativity.
She also expressed pride in everyone involved in producing the special and highlighted the hard work behind its creation.
The latest achievement moves Carpenter closer to the prestigious EGOT distinction. The honor requires winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award.
Carpenter now holds one Emmy and two Grammy Awards. Therefore, she needs only an Oscar and a Tony to complete the coveted quartet.
The achievement further strengthens Carpenter’s position among entertainment stars collecting major awards across music and television.
