A Russian oil tanker seaman and an American design-firm owner living in Dubai each won $1 million in the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw.
The draw took place on Wednesday at Concourse D of Dubai International Airport, according to a Dubai Duty Free statement.
Andrey Kravtsov, 49, won the top prize in Millennium Millionaire Series 552 with ticket number 2577.
The Vladivostok-based seaman purchased the winning ticket online on July 24.
Kravtsov, who works aboard an oil tanker, has participated in the promotion every year for the past seven years.
He is a father of three and becomes the fourth Russian national to win the $1 million prize since the promotion began in 1999.
โThank you so much Dubai Duty Free for this wonderful opportunity to win this big,โ Kravtsov said after the draw.
Meanwhile, an American owner of a design firm based in Dubai also secured a $1 million prize in the same draw.
The latest winners add to the long list of international participants who have benefited from Dubai Duty Freeโs popular promotional draws.
Moreover, three other entrants won luxury vehicles through the accompanying Finest Surprise draw.
Dubai Duty Free has conducted the Millennium Millionaire promotion since 1999, attracting participants from across the world.
The latest draw again highlighted the promotionโs international appeal, with winners from different professional and national backgrounds taking home major prizes.
