ISLAMABAD: Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be observed on Monday, March 31, 2025, as per the Research Ruet-e-Hilal Council’s latest predictions. The council stated that the Shawwal moon will be born today at 3:58 PM, making it likely to be sighted under clear weather conditions.
By sunset on Sunday, the moon’s age will exceed 26 hours, improving the chances of visibility. The time gap between sunset and moonset will vary across different parts of Pakistan, with Karachi at 69 minutes, Jiwani at 71 minutes, Quetta and Lahore at 74 minutes, and Gilgit-Baltistan at 78 minutes.
If the skies remain clear, the Shawwal crescent is expected to be visible, marking the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid celebrations.
