Capital Smart Motors has increased the prices of two Riddara RD6 variants in Pakistan.
According to an official circular, the company has revised the prices of the RD6 Econ and RD6 Pro models. The entry-level Riddara RD6 Econ received the larger increase. Its price has risen by Rs1.1 million. The variant previously cost Rs13,399,000. Following the latest revision, its price now stands at Rs14,499,000.
Meanwhile, the Riddara RD6 Pro has become Rs1 million more expensive. Its price has increased from Rs16,999,000 to Rs17,999,000. The dealer commission for both variants remains listed at 3%.
The latest revision represents a significant increase for buyers considering the electric pickup in Pakistan. Therefore, customers may need to reassess their budgets before purchasing either variant.
Finance Act 2026 Linked to Price Revision
Capital Smart Motors attributed the price increase to changes introduced through the Finance Act 2026 and Federal Budget for FY2026-27.
According to the company, revised tariffs, duties, taxes and other fiscal measures have affected vehicle costs. These changes have consequently increased the overall cost of the affected models. As a result, the companyโs management approved new selling prices for the Riddara RD6 variants.
The latest adjustment means buyers will now pay considerably more for both available variants. However, the company has not indicated whether further price changes could follow.
For consumers, the revision highlights how changes in government fiscal policies can directly affect vehicle prices. Moreover, imported and locally marketed vehicles can face additional cost pressures when tariffs and taxes change.
The Riddara RD6 is positioned as an electric pickup in Pakistanโs growing electric vehicle market. With the latest price adjustment, its affordability could become a key consideration for potential buyers. Capital Smart Motors will now sell the RD6 Econ at Rs14,499,000 and the RD6 Pro at Rs17,999,000 under the revised pricing structure.
