New Meteor Purple Design Confirmed
Redmi has revealed major specifications of the standard Redmi Note 17 ahead of its official launch in China on July 14.
The company shared the details through several promotional posts on Weibo. The latest teasers confirm the phoneโs display, battery, charging speed and main camera details.
Redmi also showed the device in a new Meteor Purple colour option. The rear panel carries a special pattern inspired by a meteor shower crossing the night sky.
The design gives the phone a more premium look and helps it stand out from earlier Redmi Note models.
Large OLED Display and 8,000mAh Battery
The Redmi Note 17 will feature a large 7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is designed for smooth scrolling, gaming and video playback.
The display will also support up to 1,200 nits of global brightness. Redmi says the panel includes several eye-care features to reduce strain during long usage.
Battery life is one of the biggest highlights of the phone. Redmi has equipped the Note 17 with a massive 8,000mAh battery.
The device supports 45W wired charging. It also offers 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge other compatible devices through a cable.
This makes the Redmi Note 17 a strong option for users who want long battery life, big-screen entertainment and reliable daily performance.
50MP Camera and Possible Snapdragon Chip
Redmi has confirmed that the Note 17 will come with a 50MP primary rear camera.
The company has not yet revealed the full camera setup. Details about the front camera are also still unknown.
A recent benchmark listing suggests the phone may use Qualcommโs Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. However, Redmi has not officially confirmed the processor.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to arrive with stronger specifications. Redmi has already confirmed that the Pro model will feature a larger 9,000mAh battery.
The company will also offer a five-year battery replacement guarantee for the Pro version.
Redmi is expected to announce complete specifications, prices and availability details for both models at the July 14 launch event in China.
