More Than 382,000 Complete Online Registration
The online registration drive for the Hajj 2027-2030 schemes has received an encouraging response. A total of 382,145 prospective pilgrims successfully completed their registration through the digital portal.
The online system has made the process more convenient for applicants. As a result, thousands of intending pilgrims completed their registration without visiting designated offices.
The government is expected to begin receiving formal applications later this week after announcing the complete framework of the scheme.
Government and Private Hajj Quotas
Under the proposed allocation, 107,832 pilgrims will perform Hajj through the Government Hajj Scheme. This represents 60 percent of Pakistan’s total Hajj quota.
Meanwhile, 71,888 pilgrims will travel through the private Hajj scheme. The private sector has been allocated the remaining 40 percent of the country’s quota.
The proposed distribution aims to accommodate pilgrims under both public and private arrangements.
Pilgrims to Receive Installment Payment Option
Prospective pilgrims applying through the government scheme are expected to receive additional financial flexibility. According to sources, they will be allowed to pay Hajj dues in two installments.
Applicants will also have the choice between long-duration and short-duration Hajj packages. Consequently, they can select an option that best suits their preferences and travel plans.
The estimated cost of the long Hajj package is expected to be around Rs1.2 million. Meanwhile, the short-duration package may cost approximately Rs1.3 million.
Overseas Pakistanis Also Eligible
Overseas Pakistanis will also be eligible to apply under the Government Hajj Scheme. They will be able to submit their Hajj dues through the prescribed process.
In addition, applicants who have already completed the online registration process will not need to register again. Instead, they will only be required to deposit the prescribed Hajj payments after the scheme officially opens.
Passport Requirement for Hajj 2027
Prospective pilgrims must meet an important travel requirement before applying. Every applicant must possess a Pakistani passport that remains valid until at least November 16, 2027.
A valid passport will be mandatory for submitting an application under the Government Hajj Scheme. Therefore, intending pilgrims should ensure their travel documents meet the required validity period before the application process begins.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs is expected to announce the complete Hajj 2027 policy and application schedule later this week. Until then, registered applicants can prepare the required documents and await the official opening of the application process.
