Police have dismantled an alleged network involved in producing obscene online content. The operation took place in the Rawat area during a targeted raid.
Authorities arrested 11 suspects accused of live streaming explicit material on various websites. Consequently, investigators launched a broader probe into the group’s activities.
Police said the suspects included both Pakistani and foreign nationals. The arrested individuals comprised two foreign nationals, two Pakistani men, and seven women.
Among the women, one was identified as a foreign national. Meanwhile, officials continue verifying the identities and roles of all suspects.
Police Recover Devices Used for Live Streaming
During the raid, police seized several items allegedly used in the operation. These included mobile phones, laptops, and other electronic equipment.
Officers also recovered a pistol and ammunition from the premises. Furthermore, authorities believe the seized devices contain important digital evidence.
According to investigators, the suspects used online platforms to upload and broadcast explicit content. Therefore, forensic teams will examine the recovered devices for additional information.
Police registered a First Information Report and transferred all suspects into custody. Officials expect the investigation to uncover further details about the network.
Investigation Expands to Trace More Suspects
Law enforcement agencies have expanded efforts to identify additional individuals linked to the operation. Consequently, authorities are pursuing facilitators and other alleged members of the network.
Police said they are coordinating closely with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency. The collaboration aims to track online activities and identify wider connections.
Officials stressed that no offender would receive special treatment during the investigation. Moreover, they pledged strict action against anyone involved in exploitation or abuse.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to protecting women and children from exploitation. They also emphasized that legal proceedings will continue against all identified suspects.
