Education Institutions Given Urgent Installation Deadline

Officials have been directed to complete the process without delay.

School Heads Directed to Submit Compliance Reports
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Rawalpindi Commissioner Salman Ghani.
The commissioner described CCTV cameras and biometric attendance systems as a top priority for the education sector.
He directed education officials to begin implementation immediately.
District education officers for secondary and elementary education have been assigned responsibility for the installation process.
The instructions apply to both male and female education departments.
Heads of all boys’ and girls’ government schools have also been ordered to follow the new requirements.
School administrations were initially directed to complete the required arrangements within 24 hours.
Education officers and institutional heads must submit compliance reports within three days.
The reports will confirm whether CCTV cameras and biometric machines have been installed and activated.
Strict Action Warned Against Non-Compliance
The education authority said biometric attendance and security monitoring have become essential for modern school management.
Officials warned that strict action could be taken against officers and school heads who fail to implement the instructions.

The Punjab School Education Pensioners Association welcomed the decision.
The association supported the installation of CCTV cameras in government educational institutions and described the measure as important for improved monitoring.
