Massive Security Lockdown Enforced in Adiala Jail Area
Authorities in Rawalpindi have imposed Section 144 and declared the area surrounding Adiala Jail a high-security red zone. The move comes amid heightened security concerns and planned high-profile visits.
The restricted zone covers all major access points near the prison. Security forces have sealed key routes to ensure strict control over movement in the area.
Officials said the decision was taken to maintain law and order and prevent any potential security disruption during scheduled activities at the jail.
The measures have created a complete security lockdown around one of the most sensitive sites in the region.
Heavy Police Deployment and Strict Administrative Measures
A large-scale police deployment has been carried out across the Adiala Jail perimeter. Around 1,000 police personnel have been stationed in and around the area.
Police units from nine different stations have been assigned duties. Senior officers, including the City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, Superintendent of Police Saddar, and multiple Deputy Superintendents of Police, are supervising the operation.
Security officials have also deployed a water cannon outside the prison as part of precautionary arrangements.
Authorities have ordered the closure of all shops, hotels, bakeries, and petrol pumps in the surrounding vicinity. The restrictions aim to minimize public movement and ensure complete security control.
