Raja Jackson allegedly attacked a wrestler during a live-streamed show in Los Angeles.
The son of UFC veteran Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Raja Jackson, was accused of violently attacking wrestler Stuart Smith during a KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy show in Los Angeles on August 23. The shocking incident, which was broadcast live on Jackson’s Kick account, ended with Smith being rushed to the hospital. According to wrestling journalist Sean Ross Sapp, Smith sustained serious injuries from the assault. Meanwhile, KnokX condemned the act as “reprehensible” in a public statement.
The confrontation escalated after backstage tensions between Jackson and Smith.
Prior to the match, Jackson was seen lingering backstage. Smith, acting in character, struck Jackson with a beer can, which was unclear if modified for safe use. Although apologies were later exchanged and Jackson’s participation was agreed upon, tensions simmered. Consequently, Jackson entered the storyline under the guidance of KnokX trainers. However, witnesses reported that he seemed increasingly agitated while interacting with fans on his livestream.
Jackson launched a violent assault on Smith during the live match.
During the tag-team match, Smith executed a spear, which served as Jackson’s cue. Jackson stormed into the ring, slammed Smith to the mat, and unleashed more than 20 punches. Smith appeared unconscious after the initial impact. Despite multiple attempts, wrestlers struggled to restrain Jackson, who was eventually pulled away by Douglas Malo. Smith was left bloodied, and his severe injuries included facial fractures and several missing teeth.
Wrestlers and fans reacted in shock to the brutal scene.
Veteran journalist Dave Meltzer described the incident as “the worst thing I’ve ever seen in a ring.” Quinton “Rampage” Jackson publicly condemned his son’s actions, explaining that Raja had suffered a concussion days earlier and lacked professional wrestling training. Meanwhile, Malo criticized Jackson’s associates for encouraging violence, adding that children in the audience were traumatized. Consequently, calls for legal action have been raised against Raja Jackson and his associates.
