KARACHI: Karachi is going to see rain in the next few days as a strong weather system moves in. The Pakistan Meteorological Department said this on Monday.
According to the Met Office, a westerly system will start affecting different parts of the country from April 1. Sindh, including Karachi, will feel its impact from the same day. Showers are expected on April 2 and 3.
The forecast says the city will have partly cloudy skies and pleasant weather for the next three days. Later in the week, stronger winds, thunderstorms and rain are likely as the system passes through.
The weather department added that this system will continue to influence upper parts of the country until April 5. Karachi could get more rain during this period as well.
People in the city should prepare for a wet start to April. The Met Office warned that the exact intensity of the rain and winds will become clearer once the system gets closer.
This fresh spell of rain comes after a long dry spell in Karachi. It is expected to bring some relief from the rising temperatures.
