Qatar has restored its 30-day tourist visa-on-arrival facility for Pakistani passport holders, allowing eligible travellers to enter the Gulf country without obtaining a visa beforehand.
According to Qatar’s Ministry of Interior, Pakistani visitors must fulfil specific financial and travel requirements to qualify for the facility.
Applicants must possess at least 5,000 Qatari riyals in cash or an equivalent amount available through a valid credit card. They must also present a confirmed return ticket and hold a passport valid for at least six months.
Additionally, Pakistani nationals travelling directly from Pakistan must provide a valid polio vaccination certificate.
The tourist visa allows visitors to stay in Qatar for 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days, subject to the applicable conditions. Travellers must arrange a confirmed return ticket before seeking an extension.
Meanwhile, Pakistani nationals visiting Qatar for business purposes can obtain business visas only through accredited companies.
The development provides another travel option for Pakistani citizens following earlier restrictions on Qatar’s visa-on-arrival facility.
