Administration releases academic schedule for holidays
The University of the Punjab has officially announced its summer vacation schedule, with regular classes set to remain suspended from June 1 until August 28, according to an official notification issued by the university administration.
Authorities stated that the decision forms part of the institution’s annual academic calendar and also aligns with seasonal conditions and increasing temperatures across the region.
Additionally, the administration directed all departments to complete eighth-semester coursework before the start of the vacation period to ensure that students continue academic activities without disruptions.
University officials emphasized the importance of completing pending educational requirements before the scheduled break begins. The move aims to help departments maintain smooth academic progress and avoid delays in coursework completion.

Meanwhile, the university administration clarified that academic departments would still retain the authority to conduct classes and examinations during the vacation period if educational requirements make such arrangements necessary.
Furthermore, officials stated that departments could organize academic sessions according to examination schedules or specific educational needs during the break period.
The administration noted that flexibility within the schedule would help ensure continuity in teaching activities where required.
Punjab University remains among Pakistan’s oldest and largest public sector educational institutions, enrolling thousands of students in undergraduate and postgraduate programs across multiple academic disciplines and faculties.
Additionally, the university serves a large student population through a wide range of departments and specialized educational programs.
