LAHORE: Punjab police have approached an anti-terrorism court in Lahore seeking permission to arrest Imran Khan’s sisters, Uzma Khanum and Aleema Khan, as well as Asad Umar in connection with the Jinnah House attack case. The police made this request during a hearing on the case, blaming them for involvement in the incident.
The investigation officer stated that a report from a Joint Investigation Team had found all three individuals guilty, and their arrests were necessary for further investigation. The officer mentioned that Aleema Khan was present at the site of the attack on May 9.

However, Burhan Muazzam, the lawyer for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf argued that the report had not nominated Aleema and Uzma, and requested to see the statements that implicated them.
In response, the investigation officer agreed to show all the statements to PTI’s lawyer, leading the judge to call for a break in the proceedings.
The Jinnah House attack case is related to violent protests that erupted across Pakistan following Imran Khan’s arrest on May 9 in the Toshakhana case. In Lahore, protestors attacked and set fire to the Corps Commander’s House during these demonstrations.
PTI Female Activists Placed Under 14-Day Judicial Remand Following Vandalism Case
Meanwhile, Sanam Javed Khan and other female activists affiliated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have been placed under a 14-day judicial remand in a case involving vandalism.
According to the provided information, the police presented their report to the court, identifying Sanam Javed Khanโs involvement in the attack on a police van. The police requested physical remand for the PTI women activists in connection with the police van attack case.
However, the court rejected the plea for physical remand, and instead, it sent the PTI women activists to a 14-day judicial remand. The court discharged Ashima and Shah Bano from the case due to a lack of evidence implicating them in the vandalism incident.
Previously, authorities re-arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) women activists shortly after their release. Policewomen detained the PTI activists and transferred them from Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.
Earlier, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) had ordered the release of PTI activist Sanam Javed Khan and other party activists in the Jinnah House attack case. The court granted bail to PTI activists Sanam Javed Khan, Robina Jameel, Afshan Tariq, Ashma Shuja, Shah Bano, Faisal Akhtar, Qasim, Ali Hasan, and Hussain Qadri.
