The Punjab government has opened company registration for the Chief Minister IT Internship Program. The initiative aims to provide young people with practical industry experience and prepare them for IT careers.
The Punjab Information Technology Board is implementing the program under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision. A total of 30,000 internship opportunities will be available through participating companies.
Companies Can Register as Internship Partners
IT companies, BPOs, ISPs, telecom firms and bank IT departments can register as partners. Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 50,000.
Participating companies will also receive Rs. 12,500 per intern each month. Additionally, registered firms can access pre-screened young talent and select interns according to their needs.
Interns will gain practical experience with modern technologies and industry-standard tools. They will also work in professional environments that can help bridge academic learning and market requirements.
Companies Must Meet Eligibility Requirements
Companies must hold registration with PSEB or another relevant regulatory authority. They must also operate an office in Punjab and provide suitable infrastructure.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the program would strengthen links between industry and young talent. He added that it would expand practical training opportunities and support Punjab’s growing IT workforce.
