The Punjab government is offering free cancer treatment to eligible patients at 33 hospitals under the Chief Minister Cancer Patients Program.
The initiative aims to improve access to cancer diagnosis and treatment for patients across Punjab, particularly those who may face financial difficulties in managing costly medical care.
The program covers hospitals in Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Lahore, Lodhran, Mianwali, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha and Sialkot.
Cancer Diagnosis, Chemotherapy and Surgery Covered
According to the Punjab government, the program provides several major cancer treatment services.
These include cancer diagnosis, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgical procedures and essential medicines.
The exact treatment provided to each patient will depend on their medical condition, program approval and the services available at the selected hospital.
Patients are advised to confirm treatment availability before travelling to a participating hospital.

How Patients Can Access Free Treatment
Patients and their families have been advised to contact the program’s official helpline before visiting a hospital.
The helpline can provide information about eligibility, required documents, registration procedures and available treatment services.
After receiving guidance, patients can visit a participating hospital with their original CNIC and relevant medical records.
These may include diagnostic reports, biopsy results, prescriptions, previous treatment records and referral documents.
The participating hospital will assess the patient and guide them through the registration process.
The program is designed to provide eligible patients with access to essential cancer care while reducing the financial burden associated with diagnosis and treatment.
