One-Year Paid Training for 100 Young Professionals
The Punjab government has announced the Punjab Shrimp Internship Program 2026-27.
The programme will provide paid practical training to 100 young professionals.
Each selected intern will receive a monthly stipend of Rs100,000.
The internship will continue for one year.
All successful candidates will be posted at the Shrimp Estate in Ali Wali, Muzaffargarh.
The initiative aims to develop skilled professionals for Punjab’s growing shrimp aquaculture industry.
Interns will receive practical experience in farming, production, processing, laboratory operations, and business development.
Internship Positions Across Technical Fields
The programme offers 26 positions for farm and hatchery interns.
Another 10 positions are available for feed mill operations.
Ten interns will be selected for farm design and infrastructure planning.
The processing plant category also offers 10 positions.
Ten positions each are available for chemists, pathologists, and microbiologists.
The programme includes six positions for quantity surveyors.
Five interns will work in electrification design.
Three positions are available in shrimp marketing and trading.
Selected candidates will work with professionals at the shrimp estate.
They will gain direct knowledge of commercial aquaculture operations.
Training will cover hatchery management, shrimp health, feed production, quality testing, and processing systems.
Interns may also receive exposure to farm planning, electrical systems, marketing, and supply-chain management.
