LAHORE: With Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) announcing a march toward Islamabad, the government has implemented strict security measures to maintain peace. The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 across the province for 10 days, banning all public gatherings and the display of weapons.

According to the official notification, the Punjab Home Department has enforced restrictions across the province for a 10-day period. The decision aims to ensure law and order amid concerns over potential unrest linked to the TLP protest. Authorities said the temporary restrictions are necessary to prevent any disruption of peace or threat to public safety.
Comprehensive Ban on Gatherings and Loudspeakers
The notification further stated that under Section 144, public assemblies and demonstrations are strictly prohibited throughout Punjab. The display of arms in public places will also not be allowed. Additionally, the use of loudspeakers has been banned except for the Azaan (call to prayer) and religious sermons. The government clarified that any violation of these directives would result in strict legal action.
TLP March and Recent Clashes in Punjab
