LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Taking a major action against Punjab police, the Punjab government has terminated 25 SHOs who maltreated the PTI leaders and workers during Azadi March on May 25.
In the next stage, the Punjab government would take action against bureaucrats and PML-N leaders who supported manhandling of PTI leaders, activists and workers during Azadi March.

According to sources, PML-N leaders such as former chief minister Hamza Shehbaz, federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Special Assistant to PM Ata Tarar could be arrested in this case.
Punjab Home Minister Muhammad Hashim said that inquiries have been initiated against the suspended SHOs and others. He said that 25 SHOs, who were posted in Lahore, have been suspended for maltreating the PTI leaders and supporters on May 25.
He said that new SHOs have been posted in different police stations in Lahore in place of those who have been suspended.
