On Friday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) revealed its selected candidates for the upcoming February 8 general elections to the national assembly, signaling a departure from any seat adjustment strategy.
The PTI disclosed contenders for 233 out of the 266 general seats in the National Assembly. This total comprises 266 general seats, 10 reserved seats for non-Muslims, and 60 reserved seats for women, bringing the total to 336 under the new delimitation list.

Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the PTI Chairman, is slated to run in NA-10, Buner, while Sher Afzal Marwat is nominated for NA-41 Lakki Marwat, and Ayaz Amir secured a ticket for NA-58 Chakwal.
Other notable candidates include Murad Saeed in NA-4 (Swat), Omar Ayub Khan in NA-18 (Haripur), and Asad Qaiser, the former National Assembly speaker, in NA-19 (Swabi). Shahryar Afridi is contesting for NA-35 (Kohat), and Ali Amin Gandapur secured a ticket for NA-44 (DI Khan-I).
In a notable move, PTI is supporting Shahryar Riaz against veteran politician Sheikh Rasheed in NA-56 (Rawalpindi-V). PTI candidates for Lahore constituencies include Aaliyah Hamza, Wasim Qadir, Latif Khosa, and Afzal Azim, with Yasmin Rashid confirmed for NA-130.
However, some constituencies, including NA-132 in Kasur, where PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif is running, remain undecided. The PTI is yet to announce candidates for four Lahore constituencies (NA-117, NA-119, NA-120, and NA-125), as well as NA-74 Sialkot, NA-82 Sargodha, and NA-94.
