Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Chaudhry has been arrested in connection with two anti-corruption cases. Anti-Corruption Department sources said authorities registered both cases in 2024.
According to the sources, the lawmaker faces allegations involving government land and his sonโs birth record. Authorities accused him of illegally occupying government property and allegedly altering his sonโs birth details.
The Anti-Corruption Department arrested Haji Imtiaz Ahmed in connection with both cases. Subsequently, officials produced the lawmaker before the relevant court for further proceedings.
Court Sends PTI Lawmaker on Judicial Remand
The court sent the arrested MNA to jail on a 15-day judicial remand. Authorities presented the allegations before the court during the proceedings. Meanwhile, further legal action will follow according to the ongoing investigation.
The Anti-Corruption Department continues investigating both cases registered against the PTI lawmaker. Officials are examining the allegations concerning the alleged occupation of government land. They are also investigating the reported changes to the birth record.
