PTI strongly criticised the Adiala jail administration after another meeting with founder Imran Khan was denied Tuesday. The party alleged officials ignored court directives and misled the judiciary regarding power of attorney documents.
Meanwhile, Imranโs sisters and senior party leaders returned without meeting the imprisoned former prime minister. PTI claimed authorities repeatedly failed to implement court-approved visitation orders.
Family Members Turned Away Again
The Islamabad High Court previously allowed Imran Khan two weekly meetings with family, lawyers, and associates. However, PTI said jail authorities continued restricting those visits despite clear judicial instructions.
Imran Khanโs sisters reached Rawalpindiโs Adiala jail early Tuesday alongside several PTI leaders. Nevertheless, prison officials denied them permission to meet the former premier.
The delegation waited outside before speaking to reporters. Aleema Khan criticised the repeated denial of family meetings outside the prison.
She recalled authorities first stopped party leaders from meeting Imran Khan. Later, officials also restricted visits by family members. Therefore, she questioned the repeated violation of court-approved visitation rights.
PTI Demands Court Orders Be Implemented
PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja also condemned the jail administration’s actions. He said supporters and family members continued arriving despite pressure and repeated hurdles.
Furthermore, Raja insisted Imran Khanโs family deserved regular access under existing court orders. He urged authorities to respect judicial decisions without unnecessary delays.
He added that denying approved meetings raised serious concerns about compliance with legal procedures. Meanwhile, PTI vowed to continue pursuing the matter through legal and political channels until authorities enforced the court’s directives.
