LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed and her husband, Professor Atiq Ahmad, were arrested by police on Monday near Kot Lakhpat Jail.
The couple was taken into custody shortly after Sanam attended a court hearing related to the May 9 cases.
According to sources, a significant police presence, including multiple vehicles, moved in as they exited the jail premises.
Authorities have not yet provided an official explanation for their arrest. The couple was reportedly transported to an undisclosed location, sparking further speculation about the circumstances surrounding their detention.
