LAHORE / ISLAMABAD: A Lahore district and sessions court has granted bail to Khadijah Shah, a PTI activist and designer, in a case related to provocative tweets.
The bail was granted by Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Nawaz upon submission of surety bonds worth Rs100,000.

The case against Khadijah Shah was registered by the FIA Lahore. However, it’s important to note that she is still awaiting bail in another case, which means she will remain in detention.
Khadijah Shah, who is the daughter of former finance minister Dr. Salman Shah and a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist, has been in jail on judicial remand in the Jinnah House attack case since the arrest of former Prime Minister and PTI chief on May 9.

The events on May 9 saw violent clashes erupt across Pakistan after the arrest of former Prime Minister and PTI chief Imran Khan at the Islamabad High Court. The protests took place in various cities, with PTI workers expressing their displeasure over their leader’s arrest. This led to authorities in Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad calling in the armed forces to maintain law and order.
During the protests, PTI workers attacked army installations and the Corps Commander’s house in Lahore.
PM Kakar Attends ECO Summit In Tashkent, Emphasizes Regional Cooperation And Connectivity
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar arrived in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to participate in the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) summit scheduled for November 8-9.
The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdullah Nagmatovich Aripov, welcomed him at the Tashkent International Airport, as confirmed by the Prime Ministerโs Office in a post on social media.
Accompanying Kakar on this trip are Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and Commerce Minister Gohar Ejaz.
A day before the summit,ย theย Foreign Office released a statement highlighting Pakistanโs commitment to ECO Vision 2025 and its dedication to fostering regional cooperation in various sectors such as trade, transport, connectivity, energy, tourism, and economic growth and productivity.
