President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised security forces after two successful anti-terror operations. Consequently, both leaders commended personnel for eliminating 10 terrorists in South Waziristan and Dir district.
The president and prime minister issued separate statements following the operations. Moreover, they reaffirmed the nation’s support for the armed forces and law enforcement agencies.
Both leaders also reiterated their commitment to defeating terrorism. They said the country would continue countering the activities of Indian-backed Fitna-al-Khawarij.
President Commends Security Forces
President Zardari praised the professionalism displayed during the operation in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan. Furthermore, he said security forces successfully thwarted a terrorist attack.
He stated that the entire nation stood firmly behind the armed forces. Additionally, he described their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism as invaluable.
PM Reaffirms Commitment Against Terrorism
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, currently on a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, also praised the successful operations. He said the nation takes pride in the courage, professionalism, and sacrifices of security personnel.
The prime minister affirmed that Operation Azm-e-Istehkam would continue with full determination. Moreover, he said counter-terrorism efforts would persist until terrorism is completely eliminated from Pakistan.
Shehbaz also reaffirmed that the government and the people remain united with the security forces. Meanwhile, officials pledged to continue strengthening national security through coordinated anti-terror operations.
