The Board of Directors of Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) has officially appointed Faisal Sattar as the companyโs new Chief Executive Officer. Sattar will serve a three-year term and has been offered a lucrative compensation package, according to sources cited by ProPakistani.
PRAL engaged a headhunting firm to identify and shortlist candidates for the CEO role before finalizing Sattarโs appointment. His selection comes after the tenure of former CEO Amir Malik ended, who repeatedly declined offers to extend his leadership term.
In the interim, PRALโs day-to-day operations were managed by Hamid Attique, a former member of IR operations at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), as assigned by the FBR Chairman.
Faisal Sattar brings significant leadership experience, having previously served as CEO of multiple telecom-related organizations, including Engro Enfrashare and the Universal Service Fund. His appointment is expected to strengthen PRALโs strategic initiatives, digital transformation projects, and overall operational efficiency.
The new CEO is tasked with leading PRAL through its ongoing modernization and automation efforts, ensuring that the organization continues to support Pakistanโs tax administration and revenue collection systems effectively. His experience in both public and private sector leadership roles positions him to navigate complex operational challenges and drive organizational growth.
The boardโs decision reflects PRALโs focus on bringing seasoned leadership to the organization to enhance performance, governance, and innovation. Faisal Sattarโs tenure is anticipated to reinforce PRALโs commitment to improving revenue automation, streamlining processes, and delivering enhanced services to stakeholders nationwide.
