The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced 498 government vacancies across Punjab under Advertisement No. 08/2026.
The latest recruitment drive covers several government departments and organisations across the province. Moreover, the vacancies include positions in agriculture, transport, livestock, education and other departments.
The advertisement was published on August 18, 2026, while eligible candidates can submit their applications online until September 3, 2026.
Major PPSC Vacancies Announced
Among the largest recruitments, the Agriculture Department has announced 92 Water Management Officer (BS-17) positions. These vacancies fall under the Water Management Wing.
Applicants must hold a B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering or B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture after a four-year post-intermediate programme.
The vacancies also include open merit, women, minority and special-person quotas. Therefore, candidates should carefully check the applicable quota before applying.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Provincial Transport Authority has announced 82 Transport Sub Inspector (BS-14) positions. Candidates need a second-division BA degree from a recognised university.
In addition, 34 Motor Mobile Patrol Inspector (BS-16) positions are available for law graduates. These vacancies are open on an all-Punjab basis.
The Livestock and Dairy Development Department has also announced 27 Veterinary Officer (BS-17) vacancies. Applicants must hold a DVM degree and valid registration with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council.
Jobs in Punjab Education Boards
PPSC has also announced several positions across Punjab’s Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
BISE Lahore has announced 24 Assistant (BS-16) vacancies. The board also has positions for Junior Computer Programmer and Senior Computer Operator.
Other vacancies include Security Officer, Estate Officer, Civil Engineer and Deputy Secretary/Deputy Controller of Examinations.
Similarly, BISE Dera Ghazi Khan has announced five Assistant (BS-16) positions.
Meanwhile, BISE Faisalabad is hiring for several posts, including Computer Programmer and Junior Computer Programmer. The board has also announced Deputy Secretary/Deputy Controller and Assistant Secretary/Assistant Controller positions.
CMIT Offers Jobs With Packages Up to Rs. 115,000
The Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) has also announced several contract-based positions.
The recruitment includes 22 Assistant Director Inspection (General) posts with a monthly package of Rs. 115,000. Candidates need a Master’s or BS Hons degree with 16 years of education.
Furthermore, CMIT has announced 24 Office Assistant positions carrying a monthly package of Rs. 77,000.
Other vacancies include Assistant Director Inspection positions in technical, medical and financial matters. Law Officer positions are also available, with the Assistant Director and Law Officer roles carrying a monthly package of Rs. 115,000.
More Transport Department Vacancies
The Punjab Provincial Transport Authority has announced additional vacancies alongside the Transport Sub Inspector positions.
These include 25 Senior Transport Officer posts, three Deputy Director positions and five Secretary District Regional Transport Authority posts.
However, candidates must meet the specific educational and experience requirements for each position before applying.
