The brother of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Deedar Jakhrani was found dead at his home in Jacobabad on Saturday. Police identified the deceased as Mehboob Jakhrani, who died after sustaining gunshot wounds.
The incident occurred in ADC Colony, where police quickly arrived after receiving information about the shooting. Officers shifted Mehboob Jakhrani’s body to Civil Hospital for examination and further legal procedures.
Police Investigate Shooting Incident
A large number of relatives and friends gathered at the hospital following the incident. Meanwhile, police launched an investigation to determine whether Mehboob Jakhrani died by suicide or someone murdered him.
Authorities are collecting evidence from the scene and examining circumstances surrounding the shooting. However, police have not yet established the exact cause or circumstances of the death.
Doctors Confirm Multiple Bullet Wounds
Doctors at Civil Hospital said Mehboob Jakhrani sustained three bullet wounds. According to medical officials, two bullets struck his arms, while authorities continue to investigate the remaining injuries and circumstances.
Mehboob Jakhrani’s brother said the family had no enmity with anyone and remained focused on finding out what happened. Police are continuing their investigation and are expected to determine whether criminal involvement occurred.
Authorities have not announced any arrests in connection with the case so far. Further developments are expected as investigators examine evidence and statements from relatives and other individuals.
