The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced scheduled power outages in several districts on Friday.
The temporary suspension of electricity is planned to facilitate maintenance and development work across the distribution network.
According to IESCO, affected areas include Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Taxila, Kahuta and nearby localities.
Officials said electricity supply would be restored as soon as maintenance activities are completed.
Rawalpindi Circle to Face Morning Power Suspension
In Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, electricity will remain suspended from 6:00 am to 10:00 am.
The outage will affect consumers connected to the Sagri and Kallar Syedan feeders.
Residents in these areas have been advised to plan their activities accordingly.
Attock Feeders to Remain Offline Until Noon
Meanwhile, consumers in Attock Circle will experience a longer interruption.
Electricity supply will remain suspended from 5:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The scheduled outage will affect the Hussain Abad, Lala Zar, and Industrial Estate Bather feeders.
The maintenance work aims to improve the reliability of the electricity distribution system.
Several Chakwal Areas Also Included
Similarly, IESCO announced outages in Chakwal Circle. Power supply will remain suspended from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The affected feeders include Jamal Wal, Mengan, Karyala, and KSM Unit-3.
Consumers in these areas may experience temporary service interruptions during the scheduled maintenance period.
Grid Station Maintenance to Affect Additional Areas
IESCO also confirmed maintenance work at several 132kV grid stations under the GSO Circle.
As a result, electricity interruptions will affect areas served by Rawat-II, AWC HMC Taxila, Sangjani-Burhan, Kahuta City-Palandri, and New Wah-Bahtermore grid stations.
These outages will occur at different times between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
The company advised residents in the affected localities to remain prepared for temporary electricity disruptions throughout the maintenance schedule.
Electricity May Return Earlier Than Scheduled
IESCO apologized for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers.
However, the company stated that electricity supply would be restored before the announced timings if maintenance work finishes ahead of schedule.
Officials added that the planned shutdowns are necessary to improve the performance and reliability of the power distribution network while ensuring safer operations for maintenance teams.
