Following the announcement of an approximately Rs19 per litre cut in the price of gasoline, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif pledged to deliver more assistance to the public “as soon as” the government obtains the chance to do so.
After passing along the relief of the drop in oil prices on the international market, the PM sent out this statement the day after announcing a significant reduction in the pricing of petroleum goods.
PM Shehbaz Sharif took to Twitter to announce that the coalition administration has fulfilled its commitment to pass on to the people of Pakistan the savings from the global decline in the price of petroleum products.
As soon as the government had the “financial cushion to do so,” he promised, help would continue for the people.
He said “Consistent with my duty to the country, the coalition administration has wasted no time spreading the wealth created by the drop in oil prices. Once we are in a position financially, we will continue our aid efforts. I think it’s important to have open discussions with the country,”
