According to Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, the Supreme Court’s decision will lead to more disorder and split the country.
“This judgement is similar to a judicial coup, and more than half of people do not accept this,” Aurangzeb remarked during a news conference with PML-N leaders Malik Ahmed Khan and Ata Tarar in Islamabad on Tuesday night.
Most political parties want a full court to hear the matter since this bench is “considered a biased bench,” according to the information minister.
According to PML (N) leader Malik Ahmed Khan, when the Supreme Court denied the coalition government’s request for the establishment of a full court bench, the court sessions were boycotted by the coalition administration.
Deputy Speaker Dost Mohammad Mazari’s election-related order was ruled null and unlawful by the Supreme Court, prompting a news conference by PML-N officials.
