Shehryar Afridi, head of Kashmir committee, has been removed from his position

According to Geo News, a vote of no confidence has resulted in PTI leader Shehryar Afridi being removed from his position as head of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir.

Afridi was the target of a no-trust motion brought by PTI defector Nawab Sher Waser during a meeting of the Parliamentary Special Committee on Kashmir.

Waser argued that Afridi is failing in his duties as chairman of the committee when proposing the resolution to dismiss him.

Nawab Sher Waser, a dissident member of the PTI, has submitted a resolution of no confidence in Shehryar Afridi. Basit Ahmed Sultan, another PTI dissenter, is the guy Nawab Sher has in mind to lead the Kashmir committee. Basit Bukhari is unanimously chosen to lead the committee on Kashmir.
