LAHORE: The induction of new members into the Punjab cabinet marked a significant event, with the oath-taking ceremony unfolding at the Governor’s House in Lahore. In this inaugural phase, 17 recently elected members of the Punjab Assembly solemnly swore their commitments, an oath administered by Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman. The ceremony garnered prominence as Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz graced the occasion with her presence.
To formalize the cabinet’s composition, the Chief Minister House issued a notification detailing the appointment of the newly added members. The notification clarified that the governor, acting upon the chief minister’s counsel, appointed these 17 individuals in the initial phase of cabinet formation.

The recent directive from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has named Marriyum Aurangzeb as the senior minister in the cabinet. The roster of the initial cabinet includes notable figures such as Syed Muhammad Ashiq Hussain Shah, Muhammad Kazim Pirzada, Rana Sikandar Hayat, Khawaja Imran Nazeer, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Zeeshan Rafique, Bilal Akbar Khan, Sohaib Ahmed Malik, Azma Zahid Bukhari, Bilal Yasin, Ramesh Singh Arora, Khalil Tahir Sandhu, Faisal Ayub Khokhar, Shafay Hussain, Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Sohail Shaukat Butt, and Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, embodying a diverse spectrum of expertise and representation within the newly formed cabinet.
