Pakistan Tehreek-e-long Insaf’s march to Islamabad’s participants set fire to trees and a car in Blue Area on Wednesday, according to police in Islamabad.
Despite being able to contain the fires, demonstrators set fire to trees elsewhere, notably in the Express Chowk neighbourhood, according to a tweet from the police.
In a tweet, journalist Waqar Satti claimed that the location was Islamabad’s Blue Area.
The tweet asked, “Do these individuals deserve any relief or compassion?”
There would be no access to the Red Zone, where vital government institutions and the diplomatic enclave are situated, by demonstrators, according to Islamabad Inspector General of Police Akbar Khan.
“Those who attempt to enter the restricted area will be dealt with severely.”
He pleaded with the protestors to maintain their composure, refrain from throwing rocks at officers, and not cause damage to property.
