Govt ends “distrust,” President Alvi announces
The “distrust” between President Arif Alvi and the federal government has been resolved, paving the door for constitutional business to take place.
On Friday, President Alvi is expected to administer the oath of office to four ministers, three federal and one state, according to sources.
President Alvi met with prime minister Shehbaz Sharif following the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, prompting this latest move. However, Alvi had not given the oath of office to Shehbaz and his 37-member cabinet, it is important to note.
